Nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a handcrafted tea tray tells a story of reclaimed madrone wood. All features were hand-routed and Jesse employed a technique of epoxy fill. This meticulous process required multiple sessions, each one attending to the angles and contours of the wood, among many layers of sanding and oiling resulting in a seamless surface satin finish.
A brass drain plate promises to patina with time, intentionally drawn and designed by me, Margot Leom adds character to this chunky yet portable piece. It's a tribute to craftsmanship and the enduring allure of the forest, ready to hold memories and moments over cups of tea.
This tray comes with 4 madrone coasters for an overflow of cups all displaying some natural worm hole formations.
The size is approximately 13” x 10” x 2”
The reservoir is 1.5 inches deep and upon special request and added cost a brass valve for a silicone hose could be installed to accommodate more serious gong fu tea sessions.
